Situational Summary

IE is a digital product consultancy. IE advises leaders on product strategy, technology, customer experience, data analytics, and agile delivery. IE takes a product-led approach to how it delivers products. IE predominantly operates within Australia, with both global and local businesses. The head office is located in Melbourne Victoria Australia. This is where the leadership and the majority of the team members are located, and IE is a company of ~100 people, some of those made up of contractors.

 

IE's vision is to work with future leaders today to create products that will drive their corporate strategy tomorrow.

The reason IE is looking for an offshore partner is for three main reasons.
1. Tap into a global talent pool. Talent is very hard to land and retain in Australia, IE has tapped into the national talent market, though it's still tough to find enough talent.
2. Mitigate cost and rate pressure from our existing and future clients. IE is competing with agencies that can tap into a global talent pool.
3. Ability to scale up and down as needed. IE typically struggles to scale up when it lands work. We want to operate from a base of 4-6 engineers, with the ability to scale as needed.

IE sees this as a long term partnership, with a long term investment in top talent, starting with a base of 4-6 engineers. There are combinations of existing open roles and new roles that IE may look to fill through our partner. This is an important business initiative and a priority. There are a number of factors for us to assess to ensure there is alignment with our values, our ways of working, and addressing any potential concerns within our organisation. Based on timelines, we are hoping to make a partner selection in May 2022.
