Wiser helps retailers and brands drive revenue, reduce costs, and improve marketing efficiency by tracking product prices and related data, both online and in-store. Wiser has offices in both California and Boston, each focused on a separate primary product. Wiser needs to add engineering staff with Java or NodeJS as the core skill set. New engineers will join blended teams which consist of engineers from the US and nearshore. All Wiser teams will have US and non-US team members.

What BairesDev has to say about your project

Ryan,

To be quite honest, I believe this is a great fit for BairesDev. I believe so for many reasons.

On one hand, the obvious reason is that we’re perfectly aligned in terms of time zone with the Pacific Time Zone and our engineers speak really (really!) fluent English - this is a huge advantage in comparison to other companies-, so they will be able to have direct interaction - Video calls, phone calls, daily stand ups, etc. - with the team, every day. 

Going to the specific reasons why I think BairesDev will be the best fit, the first one is that from the technology and model perspective it’s a perfect match. About 2 thirds of our engagements are handled via a managed team where BairesDev provides the engineers, methodology and KPIs so the client can reduce management overhead but still be able to access that information 24x7. Working with companies like Google, SiriusXM, Viacom or AdRoll to name a few gives us the experience of handling large team sizes (50+ engineers).

As a second reason, and this is also relevant, our company size is very good for this project. Why? Because we’re obviously large enough to cope with the project without problems even if we had to ramp-up the entire project’s team immediately, but at the same time the project is relevant to us which basically means that the Top Management will be directly involved. This is a big plus in comparison with 5K+ people companies that probably will have as liaison point someone without decision making power or < 200 employees Software Outsourcing companies that will struggle to put the right team in place.

Finally something extremely important: I’m 100% sure we will be the company that will create the best team in the shortest period of time by far. We’re probably one of the few companies that are able to create a team with solid engineers in a matter of only a few days. As you may know, we have received more than 55K (85K including people applying for the 2nd time) new applicants in the last 12 months (https://www.bairesdev.com/top-talent) and our staffing process for deploying teams is not only very fast but very strict too (we hire less than 1% of the applicants). We could definitely start setting up the team in the next few days.
