Situational Summary

Indicative is a product analytics platform headquartered in New York. They are interested in engaging a leading, global Service Provider and have asked Accelerance to help with this initiative.

Founded in 2013, Indicative is the only product analytics platform that connects directly to a company’s cloud data warehouse. By integrating with a multitude of data sources (e.g. websites, mobile apps, marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, etc), Indicative enables complex data analysis for both technical and non-technical teams. Their platform is specifically designed for Product Managers, Growth Marketers and Data Analyst teams, helping them convert, engage, and retain customers.

Given their growth, Indicative would like to significantly scale their current engineering team, adding 10-15 engineers to the present team of 6 people by the end of the year. They have tried to do this domestically but have been frustrated by the scarcity of capable resources. With some job recs open for over seven months, they are now resolved to grow their team internationally.

Indicative would start with a team of 3 to 4 Java engineers: individuals “who think about engineering on a different level”. It will not be good enough to simply understand syntax, rather they must be able to solve tough problems, with a deep, technical understanding of computer science.

There is a preference for groups located Latin America for the time zone benefits that provides, However, given the delays they have experienced to this point, they will consider options in other regions if necessary. Regardless of where the team is located, Indicative will consider them as a member of their US based group: they will be employees of Indicative in every way except by name.

It is important to note that they would like to meet groups who are experienced in the BOT model. Given their inexperience in this area, they will need to rely on the leadership of an experienced Partner.

Indicative is in the process of engaging a remote service provider based out of Romania and Bulgaria: Xogito. With Indicative's growth, they feel they will need the help of two Partners.

To be quite honest, I believe this is a great fit for BairesDev. I believe so for many reasons.

On one hand, the obvious reason is that we’re perfectly aligned in terms of time zone and our engineers speak fluent English (this is a huge advantage in comparison to other companies), so they will be able to have direct interaction - Video calls, phone calls, daily stand-ups, etc. - with the team, every day.
