Situational Summary

Indicative is a product analytics platform headquartered in New York. They are interested in engaging a leading, global Service Provider and have asked Accelerance to help with this initiative.

Founded in 2013, Indicative is the only product analytics platform that connects directly to a company’s cloud data warehouse. By integrating with a multitude of data sources (e.g. websites, mobile apps, marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, etc), Indicative enables complex data analysis for both technical and non-technical teams. Their platform is specifically designed for Product Managers, Growth Marketers and Data Analyst teams, helping them convert, engage, and retain customers.

Given their growth, Indicative would like to significantly scale their current engineering team, adding 10-15 engineers to the present team of 6 people by the end of the year. They have tried to do this domestically but have been frustrated by the scarcity of capable resources. With some job recs open for over seven months, they are now resolved to grow their team internationally.

Indicative would start with a team of 3 to 4 Java engineers: individuals “who think about engineering on a different level”. It will not be good enough to simply understand syntax, rather they must be able to solve tough problems, with a deep, technical understanding of computer science.

There is a preference for groups located Latin America for the time zone benefits that provides, However, given the delays they have experienced to this point, they will consider options in other regions if necessary. Regardless of where the team is located, Indicative will consider them as a member of their US based group: they will be employees of Indicative in every way except by name.

It is important to note that they would like to meet groups who are experienced in the BOT model. Given their inexperience in this area, they will need to rely on the leadership of an experienced Partner.

Indicative is in the process of engaging a remote service provider based out of Romania and Bulgaria: Xogito. With Indicative's growth, they feel they will need the help of two Partners.

What Sonatafy has to say about your project

Hi Ryan,

Thanks for discussing this opportunity with us and sharing the job descriptions.  These job roles are core roles that we regularly place.  In fact, we have deployed numerous Senior Java and Data Engineers over the past few months and have a nice pipeline of senior resources.  All of our resources are highly proficient in English (both verbal and written). We would just need to meet with your client to understand in more detail the team dynamics and protocols that they wish to

I look forward to hearing the next steps.

What BairesDev has to say about your project

Ryan,

To be quite honest, I believe this is a great fit for BairesDev. I believe so for many reasons.

On one hand, the obvious reason is that we’re perfectly aligned in terms of time zone and our engineers speak fluent English (this is a huge advantage in comparison to other companies), so they will be able to have direct interaction - Video calls, phone calls, daily stand-ups, etc. - with the team, every day. We not only have our Headquarters in Buenos Aires (and a large presence in Latin America), but we also have the ability to staff all through Latin America, Colombia, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Mexico.

A second reason and this is also relevant; our company size is perfect for this project. Why? Because we’re obviously large enough to cope with the project without problems even if we had to ramp up the entire project’s team immediately, but at the same time the project is relevant to us which basically means that the Top Management will be directly involved. This is a big plus in comparison with 5K+ or 50 people companies that probably will have as liaison point someone without decision-making power or someone with a structure that might not provide enough backup.

The third is direct industry experience. Please see our Fintech cases attached. We are the key development staff for companies like Chime, Dataline Systems, and Rapyd. We can review our ability to staff the top Java developers in Latin America with the type of experience you are looking for. We only staff senior engineers as they are the most reliable, quick learners, motivated, and can instantly help drive your product or business forward with limited oversite.

Finally something extremely important: I’m 100% sure we will deliver on time. We’re probably one of the rare companies that are able to create a team with solid engineers in a matter of only a few days. As you know, we have received more than 50K new applicants (plus around 35K that applied for the 2nd time) in the last 12 months -Top Talent - and our staffing process for deploying teams is not only very fast but very strict too (we hire less than 1% of the applicants). Our Project Management processes have been developed and improved in hundreds (around 800) projects and you will not only see a final deliverable on time but also incremental demos regularly, assuring that you not only get things at the right time but also that no deviations are seen along with the project.

What CINQ has to say about your project

Ryan,

I understand why you reached out to us for this project as we have a lot of experience in Fintech and Java is a core technology at Cinq. Our teams are also highly versed in AWS services and what it has to offer.

CINQs locations are advantageous (1 to 2 hours ahead of EST), for it allows for a generous overlap and our team is used to working flexible hours with our US clients to ensure maximum collaboration and communication. Another important aspect of CINQ that clients benefit from is our size and technical expertise. We are more than 950 technical people ranging from design, developers, squad leaders, all the way to data scientists. Flying from or to the US is very easy to arrange, as there are many options for direct flights from São Paulo to most major US destinations.

CINQ Technologies has clients in several regions of the US with whom we interact daily, one of them has several offices around the globe and our employees are used to interface with other teams outside the US (Ireland, Singapore, China, India, Belgium, and also places in the middle east).

We look forward to meeting your client and learning more!

What Skelia has to say about your project

Dear Ryan

We are very excited by the opportunity to work with your client. Sounds like their strategic thinking, BOT plans, and technology needs uniquely match Skelia’s strengths. While we are overall price competitive, the top-3 reasons why customers prefer Skelia are 1) the quality of Skelia’s resources, 2) our exceptional team retention (turnover < 10%), and 3) our customer’s possibility to spin-off and acquire their team as a fully owned affiliate company (BOT model).

Consider Skelia as “organization builders”. We have built over 150 cross-border organizations for companies in Europe, the Nordics and US - from extended software development & QA teams, 24/7 service centers, R&D up to BPO teams.  Skelia is a no-bench company, we can therefore source best matching profiles targeting a perfect mix of technology skills, soft skills, industry experience, seniority level, and career ambition.

Headquartered in Luxembourg and New York, Skelia operates through a network of European & US offices and state-of-the-art service centers in Poland (Krakow) and Ukraine (Kyiv and Lviv). We realized steady yearly revenue growth of 25% since our creation in 2008 and serve customers in 14 countries including USA, Sweden, Finland, Norway, UK, Germany, Benelux, etc.

We are especially proud by the independent Skelia customer reviews and international awards & recognition, including most recently  “Global Top 100 Sustained Growth company” (https://skelia.com/press-releases/skelia-top-sustained-growth-company/ ) and “#1 IT & Business Services company in Ukraine” (https://skelia.com/press-releases/skelia-leads-the-list-of-top-ukrainian-it-companies-evaluated-by-clutch/ ).

After you review this proposal please respond with feedback and questions so that we can clarify your needs and preferences.

The next recommended step is to have a brief 1 hour video call with two or more recommended partners using a simple agenda below. You will use the calls to validate shared information while exploring other related topics like how they work with clients and how they would create and ramp up your team, what software development methods they use with clients, case studies, metrics, etc... You can choose to keep the call at the business level or you can make it more technical.
