Meet Larry
Larry has 40 years of global IT and Cybersecurity experience, engaging over 120 businesses and Fortune 500 clients. He started his career as an MVS Systems Programming and Security Consultant for IBM, installing and securing systems. Later, he provided data forensics and penetration testing for two government agencies. His private sector global security initiatives have been widely recognized in Information Week, PC Week, and Beyond Computing.
As part of the HIPAA national law, Larry authored the National HIPAA Secured Remote Access Guidance for the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services presented and accepted by the 110th U.S. Congress. Shortly after, Larry led two additional national security updates by developing CMS's HIPAA Security Risk Assessment methodology with then U.S. Director of OESS/CMS and NIST.
Over the past ten years, Larry has served as CISO and Chief Compliance Officer for the largest global health and wellness franchise and a multibillion-dollar national financial corporation. Larry has earned 18 advanced IT certifications and is a former CISSP instructor for (ISC)2. He served on the faculty staff of Clemson University’s Computer Science Department and Division of Computing and Information Technology.
